The eBook Effect: Buying and Reading More Indie Fiction
I was fascinated by the article Rich Adin wrote in The Digital Reader, in which he describes his transformation from an avid pbook buyer and voracious reader into just as voracious a reader of ebooks. OK, that part is not entirely surprising – book lovers are book lovers. If reading is part of your DNA, you’ll do it with anything! But what was interesting was the documentation and lucid description of a theory we’ve heard but love to hear again and again. The theory is that dyed-in-the-page non-fiction readers will cotton on to fiction, and what’s more, indie fiction written by authors not yet known by the reader, through the ease of acquisition that an ebook presents. Inexpensive, readable on all kinds of devices, pro-active work on the part of entrepreneurial authors and publishers — all this and more are helping indie authors find more fans. So theory becomes fact. Now that my friends, is certainly good news for cStories! Read the whole article on The Digital Reader - let us know if and how ebooks have altered your reading habits! Try an indie fiction fix, you’ll get hooked!
