Short Story eBook Trailer – our media worlds come together

We here at BookShorts are chuffed to be working with the excellent cStories team – Thomas Allen Publishers and Cormorant Books – because launching a line of ebooks is a cool thing to be doing right now.  And working on the first committed line of ebook singles for short stories, well, that rocks.  On some level, we knew it would dovetail with the stuff we’ve been producing for years now, which is screen media, specifically moving pictures adapted from the written word.

How exciting then, to have Google Alerts deliver this to the in-box just now – Short Story eBook Trailer – The First of Many . It might not be THE first, but its the first book trailer *we’ve* seen specifically for an ebook.  Makes me giggle a little that the genre is horror-erotica – hey, those folks are always first to the game! The author here, Allen Dusk, does a good job with it, and does so in a totally indie style; just him, the camera, a strategic candle, clear onscreen graphics and appropriate, helpfully placed titles on screen.  Good on you Allen Dusk!  You’ve shown us that our intuitions were on target, and we hope to get on board with the book trailer for ebooks train, helping authors spread the word about their works in whatever pee or eee format they choose to deliver them!
